Anniversary of Eagles’ First Flight June 5th- Randy Meisner, the late Glenn Frey

It will be a bittersweet forty-fifth anniversary for The Eagles here In the Studio the week of June 5, sweet because we celebrate one of the most impressive album debuts containing no less than three Top Ten hits, “Take It Easy“, “Witchy Woman“, and “Peaceful Easy Feeling“. But it will also be very emotional as original Eagles bass player/ singer Randy Meisner and Eagles fans everywhere deal with the sudden loss of band co-founder Glenn Frey, who thankfully allowed us to record his memories of halcyon days with Don Henley and Bernie Leadon ambitiously setting out to make their mark. And oh boy did they ever. –Redbeard
