Bad Company- Desolation Angels 45th- Paul Rodgers, Mick Ralphs, Simon Kirke 2-26

“I lifted it from a Jack Kerouac book,” Bad Company lead singer/songwriter Paul Rodgers confesses about the title to their March 1979 fifth album, Desolation Angels. “I couldn’t read the book, it was too heavy duty, but I loved the title! (giggles)…We just toured our brains out.”

Desolation Angels contained some of the strongest songs and playing since those first two Bad Company albums five years earlier, including “Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy”, “Gone Gone Gone”, “Oh Atlanta”, and “Evil Wind”. Bad Company co-founder/guitarist/songwriter Mick Ralphs and drummer Simon Kirke join Paul Rodgers here In the Studio for the forty-fifth anniversary of the Top Five double-platinum seller Desolation Angels the week of February 26. -Redbeard
