It is hard for me to  convey accurately the heated anticipation  with which Against the Wind   by Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band was greeted in the otherwise coldest part of Winter 1980, but a first week debut as the #1-selling album in America should give you some indication.

The third jewel in Seger’s triple crown of multi-platinum classics, Against the Wind  followed Night Moves  and Stranger in Town  and contained “The Horizontal Bop”,”No Man’s Land”,”Betty Lou’s Getting Out Tonight”,”You’ll Accomp’ny Me”,”Fire Lake”,”Her Strut“, and the timeless piano triplets of “Against the Wind”. Bob Seger joins me here In the Studio  on the album’s fortieth anniversary the week of February 24. –Redbeard
