Genesis- Invisible Touch 40th- Mike Rutherford, Phil Collins 6-8

Between 1980 and 1986, veteran English progressive rockers Genesis released a string of four hit albums, each more popular than its predecessor, culminating in June 1986’s Invisible Touch. With guitarist/composer Mike Rutherford’s side hustle Mike + the Mechanics, keyboardist/songwriter Tony Banks’ solo efforts, and singing drummer Phil Collins’ meteoric solo career, by the mid-Eighties the members of Genesis were anything but invisible.

Mike Rutherford, Tony Banks, and Phil Collins of Genesis are my guests here In the Studio to make their most popular album ever, Invisible Touch, reappear right before your ears with “Tonight, Tonight, Tonight”, “Land of Confusion”, “In Too Deep”, and “Invisible Touch” all on its fortieth anniversary the week of June 8. -Redbeard
