Jimi Hendrix- Hear My Train a Comin’- Memorial Day 1970- Berkeley CA

At the end of May 1970  Jimi Hendrix performed two Memorial Day concerts in Berkeley CA at which he unveiled unreleased songs, including the portentous “Hear My Train a Comin’ “. He drafted Army buddy Billy Cox  on bass as well as an eager Mitch Mitchell  on drums, who had lost the Experience gig earlier (at least on paper) through no fault of his own due to the legal dissolution of the Jimi Hendrix Experience   a year earlier. Presented in  loving tribute to my dear friend Metropolitan Police Watch Commander Patrick Moore who caught that train to Heaven. –Redbeard
