With the release of Waking Up the Neighbours in September 1991, I was reminded to never ever underestimate Bryan Adams’ prolific songwriting talent nor his quiet determination. You see, even some of us who had supported Bryan Adams as early as his second album, You Want, You Got It ten years earlier, were thinking that the blockbuster Reckless in 1984 (six Top 20 singles, over eight million sold) would most likely never be equaled. Boy, were we wrong!

Bryan Adams’ Waking Up the Neighbours was packed with sing-along rockers including “Hey Honey I’m Packin’ You In”, “House Arrest”, “There Will Never Be Another Tonight”, “Touch the Hand”; the hit shuffle “Can’t Stop This Thing We Started”; “Thought I’d Died and Gone to Heaven”, and the movie theme “Everything I Do, I Do It for You”. Result? Another estimated 8,000,000+ sold!
