Rush- Moving Pictures 45th Anniversary- Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson 2-16

Just as AC/DC’s Back in Black was the hard rock album loved by people who didn’t like Hard Rock, Moving Pictures by Rush in February 1981 was the undeniable (and now perennial) mass appeal purchase by millions who did not own any of the Toronto trio’s seven (!) previous  albums.

Rush bassist/singer Geddy Lee and guitarist Alex Lifeson join me In the Studio to discuss frankly the evolution of their career up through Moving Pictures which resulted in “Tom Sawyer”, “Red Barchetta”, “Limelight”, and “Witch Hunt”. And I will add my archival rare interview with the late Rush drummer nonpareil Neil Peart, as well, as Rush touches all the bases on the forty-fifth anniversary of Moving Pictures here the week of February 16. –Redbeard
