HEART- Heart (‘85)- Nancy Wilson, Ann Wilson

Two of my all-time faves remain the cinderella story beginnings of Heart in 1976 with "Dreamboat Annie"  and the "comeback" album almost a decade later, "Heart". This hit machine in 1985  reinvented Heart for the MTV Eighties with "If Looks Could Kill","What About Love","Never","These Dreams", and "Nothing at All". Wow. Nancy Wilson and singing sistuh Ann Wilson join me here In the Studio.

Heart- Dog and Butterfly- Ann & Nancy Wilson

From the forty-fifth anniversary perspective on Heart's million-seller "Dog and Butterfly" released in September 1978, guitarist/singer/songwriter Nancy Wilson is gratified with how the songs "Straight On","Mistral Wind", and "Dog and Butterfly" have fared over the decades. "When I hear those songs now, I feel proud. For one thing, I feel like we really did contribute something fresh to music." Nancy and big sister Ann Wilson are my guests In the Studio.

Heart- Little Queen- Ann Wilson, Nancy Wilson

The story of Heart's debut "Dreamboat Annie" remains one of the Cinderella fairy tale chapters in rock history, but the major label follow up released in 1977, "Little Queen", was made amidst a legal battle prompted precisely because initial big money, & the potential for more. Ann Wilson & Nancy Wilson are my guests In the Studio.

Heart- Dog and Butterfly- Nancy and Ann Wilson

Without sacrificing any of the hard rock cred for which they had so tenaciously fought, Seattle sisters Ann Wilson and kickin' guitarist Nancy Wilson of Heart showed considerable growth and songwriting confidence in 1978 on "Dog and Butterfly"...

Ann Wilson- Hope and Glory

On Ann Wilson's birthday in 2007, here was a present from her : a highly personal solo album of carefully chosen covers, Hope and Glory,  at a time when US wars were raging in two separate countries with no end in sight. And the "A" guest list of performers with whom Ann duets  include no less than Elton John, k.d.lang, Alison Krauss, Wynonna Judd, even sister from Heart, Nancy Wilson.
