Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes- Waiting on Your Reply- Asbury Park 8-8-79

Tuned up like a Packard V-12, the sonic assault of the original Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes was a thing to behold, blowin' and goin' on the New Jersey shore. Here's "Waiting on Your Reply" from 1979 in Asbury Park.

Creedence Clearwater Revival- Green River/Willy & the Poor Boys- John Fogerty

Even over fifty-five years later, my guest here In the Studio John Fogerty's sound and vision on "Green River" and "Willy and the Poor Boys" were completely self-contained and, to this day, never duplicated.

AC/DC- Highway to Hell- Angus Young, the late Malcolm Young

AC/DC original lead singer Bon Scott's generous body art and ear studs, plus his affable demeanor, made Scott appear less like a rock singer and more like a character out of Herman Melville's "Moby Dick"...Angus Young and the late Malcolm Young are my guests for “Highway to Hell”.

Billy Joel- New York State of Mind- San Francisco 6-75

...a live performance of the then new song "New York State of Mind" in June, 1975 in San Francisco. This may be the earliest known live recording of the gem, but most certainly it would be one of the last performances where no one in Billy Joel's audience applauds during the piano intro in recognition!
