Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band- Night Moves 50th! 10-4

“Yeah, those were some pretty lean years,” Bob Seger admitted to me regarding the long period between his initial hit with “Ramblin’ Gamblin’ Man” in 1968 and the “eight year overnight success” of Night Moves in October 1976. “I needed time off the road to work on my songwriting.” Mission accomplished: Seger created timeless songs “Rock and Roll Never Forgets”, “The Fire Down Below”, “Main Street”, and the mini-operetta “Night Moves”, and threw in the Ann Peebles/Willie Mitchell Stax stomper “Come to Poppa” for good measure.

Night Moves fifty years ago drew a bead on the American mainstream, firing off a clip of multi-platinum albums that would extend well into the Nineties for Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band. Bob is my guest In the Studio on the golden anniversary of Night Moves the week of October 4. -Redbeard
