Warren Zevon- Excitable Boy

Warren Zevon, the gambler's son who wrote and sang "I'll Sleep When I'm Dead", presumably is indeed resting in peace, having passed away far too soon in 2003...Here is my rare interview with Warren Zevon for “Excitable Boy".as he is inducted posthumously into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Queen- A Night at the Opera- Brian May, Roger Taylor

In November 1975 Queen sent out invitations for "A Night at the Opera" and the whole rock world RSVP'd. With Brian May and Roger Taylor here In the Studio.

Queen- Bohemian Rhapsody/Killer Queen medley- London 1975

The regal rock of Queen came of age on the stage by this time in 1975 as is evidenced by this stunning performance at London's Odeon Theater with a medley of songs "Black Queen" from Queen II,  "Killer Queen" from their first solid album, 1974's Sheer Heart Attack , and their breakthrough "Bohemian Rhapsody" from Queen's fourth effort, A Night at the Opera.

ZZ Top- Afterburner- Billy Gibbons, the late Frank Beard

In 1985 ZZ Top's"Afterburner" kicked in. But don't go looking for it in the 2019 ZZ Top rockumentary film "That Little Ol' Band from Texas" .That otherwise well-done pastiche of just some of the chapters in this colorful trio's fifty year telenovela implied that all meaningful recording by ZZ Top wrapped at the conclusion of "Eliminator" way back in 1983. Billy Gibbons, Dusty Hill, and Frank Beard join me here In the Studio  for "Sleeping Bag","Stages","Woke Up with Wood", and "Planet of Women".

Ozzy Osbourne's biggest seller in decades, October 1995's "Ozzmosis" ironically was released after he had announced a very high profile retirement. The Cult- Love 40th Anniversary- Billy Duffy

It was the mid-Eighties, and rolling the streets of Dallas/Ft.Worth at night felt less like a big-block muscle car and just right in a fire-engine red BMW M3, moonroof open, with The Cult "Love" cassette jammed in the dash player blasting "She Sells Sanctuary"and "Rain".
