Bruce Springsteen- Youngstown- 12-9-95

From the Monongahela Valley to the Mesabi iron range
To the coal mines of Appalachia, the story’s always the same
Seven hundred tons of metal a day, now sir you tell me the world’s changed
Once I made you rich enough, rich enough to forget my name…“- “Youngstown”-B.Springsteen 1995

The irony of an official jobs report being released the day before 2011’s Labor Day holiday weekend with a net jobs growth of zero prompted me back then to share this ultra-rare  acoustic performance by Bruce Springsteen of  “Youngstown”  on 12/9/95 in Philadelphia’s Tower Theater. Thankfully  things in general are improving for the job market, if incrementally. –Redbeard
