Queen Forever- Brian May, Roger Taylor

That year it did not take too long to ponder who would be considered the “Band of 2018”, with the eleventh hour surprise movie release Bohemian Rhapsody in November. Since Queen has sold more albums and singles than any band since the Beatles (and some estimates claim even more than them), it is simply not an over-reach to title this 2014 career compilation from forty-plus years of recording Queen Forever. You will not find two more interesting conversationalists about all aspects of the rock world than my guests, singer/ songwriter/fabulous guitarist Brian May and singer/ songwriter/percussionist Roger Taylor. And the latest Queen + Adam Lambert North American tour is underway  in response to the demand created by that fabulous sold-out 2014 tour, a follow up, and then the #1 box office film in the world Bohemian Rhapsody.

On Queen Forever   some of the tasty album tracks, B-sides, and remastered slightly different mixes of songs from their five decades of regal rock are combined with no less than three previously-unreleased Queen songs, all featuring the non-pareil voice of Freddie Mercury. As it turned out, Freddie performed his final show with the original  quartet August 9, 1986 at the legendary show outside London at Knebworth.
