Santana- Abraxas- Carlos Santana, Gregg Rolie, Michael Shrieve

In the Studio we never featured a more influential, important, essential album than Santana 's second effort, "Abraxas" released in October 1970. Simply stated, this is the Magna Carta of World Music. Carlos Santana and Gregg Rolie are joined by drummer Michael Shrieve In the Studio.

Journey- Infinity- Gregg Rolie, Neal Schon, Steve Perry

With their 1978 fourth album,"Infinity",  some rock writers even today  attempt to reduce the remarkable transformation by the San Francisco band Journey  as " veteran but commercially-struggling group hires world-class singer, which anybody would recognize; shortens song arrangements; and instantly becomes the biggest band in America". "Wrong," says Journey lead guitarist/songwriter/co-founder Neal Schon ."Wrong!"

Montrose- Sammy Hagar, Ricky Phillips

A "Ronnie Montrose Tribute" featuring classic rock interviews with the late guitarist Ronnie Montrose, plus original Montrose band singer/songwriter Sammy Hagar.  That album and the sadly, final Ronnie Montrose swan song album "10x10" and veteran Styx bass player/ producer Ricky Phillips who joins us here In the Studio.
