Bad Company 50th Anniversary- Paul Rodgers, Mick Ralphs, Simon Kirke 5-6

To understand the anticipation for the first effort from Bad Company, it is important to realize just how popular two English bands, Free and Mott the Hoople, had become in the UK by Spring 1974. I was a big fan of both groups, so a new band with the beating heart of Free drummer Simon Kirke, the soulful voice of Free singer/songwriter Paul Rodgers, and the chunky electric guitar of Mott’s Mick Ralphs, got my and America’s undivided attention. Bad Company did not disappoint.

Featuring “Can’t Get Enough”, “Rock Steady”, “Movin’ On”, “Ready for Love”, “Seagull”, and the timeless theme song”Bad Company”, Paul Rodgers, Mick Ralphs, and Simon Kirke are In the Studio for the fiftieth anniversary of one of the most popular debuts ever the week of May 6. –Redbeard
