Lynyrd Skynyrd- Pronounced- the late Gary Rossington, Ed King, Leon Wilkeson

Over the fifty+ years the perception seems to have become that Lynyrd Skynyrd had a date with destiny, an almost Shakespearean drama of dreams, aspirations, triumph, and tragedy to which all of us were immediately and keenly aware from the moment of “Pronounced” ‘s release. The late Gary Rossington dismissed that assumption as no more true than imagining Will Shakespeare did not toil, struggle, and starve in relative obscurity in his time.

David Bowie- Let’s Dance

“Let’s Dance”  was nominated for the Grammy Award for Album of the Year in 1983, and if David could have moonwalked like Michael Jackson, Bowie probably would have won. it was no surprise that multi-media maven David Bowie, who seemed tailor-made then for the dawn of the MTV era in America when “Let’s Dance”  was released, would later be among the first to embrace computer-generated gaming and virtual reality, which David discussed at length here, reprised on the album’s fortieth anniversary.
